@color Unfortunately that is not possible because Color.io is a browser based app and browsers explicitly prevent this. In order to specify the download path, your browser would need to have knowledge of your file system which would pose a huge security problem.
I wanted to follow up on this because I just learned that you can set up your browser to ask you where you want to download files! Here are the instructions for Google Chrome:
You can choose a location on your computer where downloads should be saved by default or pick a specific destination for each download.
4.1 To change the default download location, click Change and select where to save your files.
4.2 If you want to choose a specific location for each download, turn on "Ask where to save each file before downloading".
As the web platform progresses, more file system access will be granted in the future but for now this should be a pretty decent work around, certainly much better than being forced to use the default download directory.
Time to reopen this: The required APIs to make this possible are now available in Chromium based browsers. I'll start work on this soon!
