Hi @kealan - Color.io is using libRAW for for parsing RAW files so proper support for these files depends entirely on that library. Lightroom is most definitely applying a number of proprietary optimisations for noise reduction and lens correction based on exif data, none of which I have the capacity to develop for Color.io right now.
Still, as soon as libRAW properly parses X-T5 files, Color.io will be able to do it as well. Hopefully soon!
@monokee Thank you for the quick response! That's good to know, I'll keep an eye on
that. I've found a workaround in the meantime, converting to .dng using
Adobe's DNG converter allows the file to parse correctly.
Love the app and the results I get out of it, it's super inspiring!

@monokee I see this camera isn't supported as of version 0.21:

But seems like it is as of the 202403 snapshot (whatever that is my laymen
eyes do not know): https://www.libraw.org/supported-cameras-202403

@kealan I'm using the latest snapshot, however that list only refers to basic file parsing support which is why you can render an image from the X-T5 raw data at all. Applying automatic lens corrections and sensor cropping is not guaranteed by this.
BTW I'm thinking about adding manual denoising and lens distortion correction tools to Color.io which would at least allow you to correct things yourself. I'd likely add these tools to the image editing workspace where you can currently crop/rotate/etc.
@monokee Ah that makes sense, thanks for the clarification!
That would be amazing, I'd be happy to see that for sure. Thanks a lot!

@monokee Thought I was onto something with that .dng conversion workaround. It only
solves the black bars, but unfortunately the noise is still extreme.

@monokee @kealan continuing to keep this updated in case any folks are in the same boat, but using DxO Pure Raw to convert to DNG before importing into here has amazing results, clears up the pictures super nicely. Only downside is a slight increase in filesize
@monokee @kealan Capture One also have a complimentary RAW converter if you have your serial number handy, which could achieve similar results. I'll test and report back!
