@north @phimagery @peder - I did a deep dive and I think I've fixed the issue for most Android devices without having to fall back to lower quality processing.
Please let me know if it's working again on your ends! If it is, that would be great news because it would mean that I can continue to add new and exiting features for Android devices just like any other platform! :)
Hi @peder - does the same thing happen on beta.color.io? The latest beta uses a newer version of OpenGL that may alleviate some hardware incompatibilities.
Yes. Same problem there :/
@peder in that case the hardware doesnโt support what color.io needs to run. It doesnโt make sense for the app to process everything in 8bits - it requires 32bit floating point buffers, some can fall back to 16bits on lower end mobile GPUs.
@peder @monokee : Same problem for me, with my Samsung S22 Ultra and my tablet S7+.
Same for me. I worked on it today, everything was working very well. I wanted to work on some raws now... Look at the image ๐ฅฒ
To be more precise, I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and a Google Pixel 5a. The bug appears on both.
I did not have any issues when I began to use the software with my phone and tablet. Later, I tried it on my laptop... and then I returned on my tablet, and the bug appeared.
Before going the first time on app.color.io from my desktop, I did not have any issues with my android devices.
Same problem for me, with my Samsung S22 Ultra and my tablet Samsung S7+. It's recent, only a few days old.
@phimagery upvote the priority then :)
Today, I encountered the same issue on my laptop, which is a Lenovo Yoga 9i with an HDR screen. Exact same issue I shared above.
I then deactivated the HDR through windows settings, and the problem disappeared.
Could it be the same issue with our devices ? Since they all support HDR ? (we cannot turn HDR off on android)
For additional information; There is no such problem with Match.ai. Both on laptops and mobile devices !!!

@monokee still not working on my end sadly :/
@peder this actually looks like a different issue than what other commenters were experiencing. It seems to be somehow related to raw file handling on your device. Does this also happen with non-raw images? Have these RAW images been captured by the device itself?
@monokee happens on jpegs to. The raw images are .nef from a nikon d60
@monokee , thanks a lot, it works again ๐
@north Nice! Thanks for getting back to me!
It works like a charm. Thank you so much.๐๐๐
